This site sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and loads nothing from other sites. Two things still involve personal data, and this page covers both.
Who is responsible
I am: Lorenzo Vangi, based in Italy, the controller for this site. Write to dev@lorenzovangi.com about anything on this page.
Server logs
Netlify, Inc. hosts the site and, like any web server, records each request: your IP address, your browser's user agent, the page and the time. The logs serve to deliver the pages and keep them secure, my legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; no page can be served without them. Netlify processes them on my behalf under its Data Processing Agreement, and how long they are kept follows Netlify's terms for its hosting service.
If you write to me, I receive your address and your message, to read and answer them: under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR when it concerns working together, Article 6(1)(f) otherwise. The mailbox is hosted by Aruba S.p.A. in Italy. I keep the correspondence for up to 12 months after our last exchange, and longer only if it becomes part of a contract or the law requires it.
Transfers outside the EEA
Netlify is in the United States. Its Data Processing Agreement transfers data under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, for which Netlify is certified, and falls back to the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Email stays with Aruba, in Italy.
Your rights
Under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data I hold about you, have it corrected or erased, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and receive it in a portable form. Write to dev@lorenzovangi.com and I will answer within one month. You can also complain to the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it (opens in a new tab)) or to the authority where you live or work.
Links to GitHub, LinkedIn and Medium take you to those sites, under their own policies. If what happens to personal data here changes, this page changes with it, and so does its date.
